Ahmad Zia — published academically as Muhammad Ahmad Zia — is a senior AI agents consultant and green machine learning researcher with 7+ years of advisory experience. He builds custom agentic AI for ecommerce brands, SaaS founders, and agencies across Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, Pinterest, and Reddit. He is the founder of MAZ Solutions, a lecturer and researcher at the University of Lahore, and has delivered 300+ engagements across 26 countries.

My work spans six core areas: green AI and sustainable machine learning, custom AI agent builds, multi-platform agent orchestration, agentic commerce readiness, SaaS-to-owned tool migration, and strategic AI consulting. The thread tying it together is a simple principle — do more with less compute, less cost, and less complexity.
My signature engagement is migrating clients off expensive paid AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) onto self-hosted open-source models — Llama 3.1, Mistral, Qwen — fine-tuned on their own data. Typical outcome: 80–95% lower AI infrastructure costs with matching or better output quality. This is where my green machine learning research at the University of Lahore, where I have trained 2,000+ developers and AI engineers, delivers its largest single impact.

From CS Student to Senior AI Agents Consultant
A decade of building, consulting, teaching, and researching at the crossroads of AI, ecommerce, and sustainability — with measurable results at every stage.
BS Computer Science — University of Central Punjab
Graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from UCP, Lahore. My final year project — an AI disaster response system that fetched real-time Twitter data to detect and classify emergencies — was my first deployed machine learning application, and the moment I realized AI was a tool for solving real human problems, not an academic exercise.
MSCS & the Start of Teaching
Began a Master's in Computer Science at the University of Lahore, deepening expertise in AI, deep learning, and data systems. The same year, I started teaching — a role I have maintained throughout my entire career, eventually training 2,000+ developers, programmers, and AI engineers across Pakistan and internationally.
Founded MAZ Solutions — Ecommerce Consulting Begins
Started consulting ecommerce founders across Pakistan, the UK, and the USA. Founded MAZ Solutions, a consultancy that launched and scaled multiple online startups on Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and Etsy. This is where I built the deep, platform-specific operating knowledge that now powers every consulting engagement I take on.
Logixtec — Where Sustainability Became the Mission
Partnered with Logixtec, a technology consultancy, to advise enterprise clients on AI and digital strategy. It was here that I first engaged seriously with sustainability in technology — studying how AI systems contribute to environmental overhead, and how they can be redesigned to deliver the same business outcomes at a fraction of the compute and energy cost.
Independent Consulting at Scale
Returned to fully independent consulting — running my own ecommerce operations while serving project and retainer clients globally across 26 countries. Began building the AI agents I had spent years recommending — and started using them in my own stores first. Every tool I now offer clients was battle-tested on my own operations before it was ever sold.
Lecturer & Green ML Research Begins
Joined the University of Lahore as a lecturer while formally beginning research into green machine learning for ecommerce — investigating how AI models used in product recommendation, demand forecasting, and listing optimization can be made significantly more energy-efficient and cost-effective. The research sits at a rare intersection: applied AI meets environmental responsibility meets real ecommerce data.
Publishing AI Agents & Scaling the Consulting Practice
After years of building agentic AI systems for my own operations, I am now publishing these agents publicly so any operator can benefit — and offering senior AI consulting to founders who want strategic judgment, not just code.
