How is this different from the broader SaaS Replacement Build?
Scope and depth. SaaS Replacement Build is broad — replaces any high-cost SaaS across your stack (Helium 10, Jasper, Tidio, Tailwind, others). AI Email Marketing Build is focused specifically on email — only replaces the AI layer of your ESP, you keep your email infrastructure (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.). Use SaaS Replacement when you have 3+ SaaS tools to replace; use this service when you want focused email AI improvement without touching the rest of your stack.
Why not just switch to a different ESP with better AI?
Because switching ESPs costs more than fixing your AI layer. Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Omnisend have years of your subscriber history, deliverability reputation, and integration with your ecommerce platform. Switching means rebuilding all of that. A custom AI layer keeps your existing ESP infrastructure (which is usually good) and replaces only the expensive generic AI add-on (which is usually weak). Best of both: keep what works, replace what does not.
What does the engine cost and what affects the price?
Starting from $2,500 for basic engines (single brand, single ESP, core AI features: segmentation + send-time + subject line testing). Typical engagements run $3,500–$4,500 (multi-feature engines including content generation). Premium engagements run $5,000–$6,000 (multi-brand, multi-ESP, advanced features like product-level personalization, custom attribution models). Pricing depends on: feature scope, brand count, ESP complexity, and integration depth.
Will this work with my current ESP?
Strong support: Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, Campaign Monitor, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Drip, Sender. Partial support: Constant Contact, AWeber (older API limitations). Custom ESPs and headless email setups (Postmark, Mandrill, SendGrid) are supported with custom integration work. I will confirm specific ESP compatibility during the discovery call.
How much historical email data do I need for the AI to work well?
Minimum 6 months of email engagement history with at least 30K total subscribers. Sweet spot: 12–24 months of history with 100K+ subscribers — this gives the AI enough data to learn meaningful patterns. Below the minimum, the engine still works but performs more like generic AI (which is fine if your goal is just replacing the expensive subscription, but the lift will be smaller). I will assess your data sufficiency during the audit phase.
What about deliverability — will switching the AI layer hurt my inbox placement?
No — the AI layer does not touch deliverability. Deliverability depends on your ESP's infrastructure (which we are not changing), your sending reputation (which the custom AI does not affect), and your list hygiene practices (which the AI actually IMPROVES through smarter segmentation that reduces sends to unengaged subscribers). Custom email AI typically helps deliverability rather than hurting it.
How long until I see results?
First measurable lift: 14–30 days post-launch. Most improvements compound over 60–90 days as the AI continues learning from new engagement data. Cancellation of Klaviyo AI / Mailchimp AI add-ons typically happens at day 30 once performance is verified. Full optimization typically achieved by day 90.
